Choosing Energy-Efficient Products
By acting as a wind and air barrier, it often eliminates the need for an additional vapor barrier. Spray foam insulation increases energy efficiency allowing you to reduce your utilization of fossil fuels and other energies.

Closed Cell Foam (polyurethane) VS. Open Cell Foam (isocyanurate) Closed cell foams have a higher R-value than open-cell foam. Each has a different application value. Speak with your IIC specialist to discuss this, and which may be most appropriate and cost effective for you.

Energy Efficiency Spray foam insulation provides insulation and air sealing in one step by acting as both an air and vapor barrier. In addition, polyurethane or modified urethane foam insulation products have a higher R-value per inch than fiberglass batt insulation. This increases your home’s energy efficiency, energy costs, and use of fossil fuels.

Environmentally Friendly Sprayed foams are environmentally friendly. Most do not contain HCFCs that are harmful to Earth's ozone layer, or off gas formaldehyde—a potentially harmful and volatile organic compound.
